Behold the song

 

And the song writer of old

puts down the quill and beholds the finished song.  

 

And he beholds the squiggles on the page,

and listened to its beautiful notes played,

 

and says unto himself; “it is good.”

And so goes off praising the lord for his generosity and greatness. 

 

And the song writer of today

puts down the biro and beholds the finished song.  

 

And he beholds the squiggles on the page,

and listened to its beautiful notes played,

 

and says unto himself; “it is good.”

And goes off to make a hit record.
