Book 35 Page 38

Dieing to be thin

She’s dieing to be slim,

eating just to binge.

Images within and a

deep longing to fit in,

and she’s;

dieing to be thin.

She’s got an inner vision

of a perfect weight,

which effectively amounts to a;

compulsive food hate,

and she’s;

dieing to be thin.

She’s taken in the messages

of a stereotypical kind of world,

of what constitutes a real woman,

and a perfect size eight girl,

and she’s;

dieing, dieing to be thin.

She’s got herself a mirror

that magically alters her size.

Got a special mirror that tells her;

little white lies,

and she’s;

dieing to be thin.

She’s got herself some talking scales

that tells her to eat less."

“Got to fit in” it says,

“to the next size below dress,”

and she’s;

dieing.

dieing, really!

dieing to be thin,

and she is succeeding.
