Book 20 Page 13

I went for a walk

I went for a walk to see what I could find.

I went for a walk in the sun shine.

I went for a walk to clear my mind.

Thinking of the ‘good’ in mankind.

I met a man who had some kind words to say.

On this beautiful sun shinning day.

I pass a woman in the street,

and we exchanged a smile and a “hello” greet.

I saw the flowers stretching out wide,

as they reached up gloriously to the sky.

I heard the children make their playful sounds,

as they played merrily in the play grounds

I walked on the grass that was lush and green,

and I thought of the good and the beauty I’ve seen.

I went for a walk to clear the cob webs from my brain.

I went for a walk in the sun shine / not in the rain.

I went for a walk, a therapeutic stole,

to get closer in contact with my very own soul.
