Symbols

When I was young I would draw a symbolic version of a house,

with a square and a triangle on top and of course, a chimney top.

When I was young I would draw a symbolic version of a flower,

with a circle in the middle and the peddles protruding.

When I was young I would draw me living in my pictured house and garden,

with a circle for my head and stick lines for my body.

Now these are all very beautiful symbols,

But now I live in these symbols;

I live on top of a hill,

In a beautiful house,

with a beautiful garden with flowers.

The world is such a beautifully symbolic place, isn’t it?
