The hurting world
Half the world cried,
“your hurting me.”
While the other half said,
“No were not.”
Half the world said,
“we want more pay for our labor.”
While the other half said,
“no 20 cents an hour is all you get.”
Half the world cried,
“stop bombing us.”
While the other half said,
“it’s for your greater good.”
Half the world said,
“we are hungry.”
While the other half
just looked the other way.
Half the world said,
your hurting me,
The other half continued
to be hurtful.
O, when will it all end,
this terribly divided world!?
